Everyday, “301” was the topic of discussion at lunch and I had to listen to it all the time. Bob, my best friend at work truly believes he knows more than anyone about the subject. So I decided to challenge him. I spent a few days reading everything I could and made a list of questions about current information and the background of it so I could really see if he knew it all. Well, guess what happened?

I was sad to hear about the death of Don Knotts, the comedian and actor. His silly character, Deputy Barney Fife brought many chuckles in our household. He was 81 went he died so he did have a long productive life and hopefully he was aware of the laughter that he had brought to many people. It’s strange, but less than a week ago, the grocery clerk brought Don’s name up to me as I checked out. We had a few words about how funny Don was in a movie…something about Mr. Chicken? Not sure of the name of the movie….but I hadn’t thought about Don Knotts in a long time…so it was a strange coincidence. Well I guess it’s time to get back to researching golf vacations in cairo on the search engine.

I am without words. Someone broke into my house and stole my coin and rare stamp collection. You can be sure that I stowed them away underneath my bed and I thought it was not a very obvious place, but I guess I could have stowed them away some even more safe like a safe. Anyways, it is now water under the bridge, but I look back upon all those times as a kid when I mowed the grass, saved up my money and went to the coin shop to purchase all the coins I collected. All that hard work for nothing, and now the stuff is in the hands of someone else. Oh well, I guess I can escape into my most recent search of 301 to escape the pain of it all. Yeah, I think that is exactly what I will do.

I woke up this morning to the sound of thunder. I felt like sleeping in since I couldn’t get any work done outside due to the heavy rains. After I dragged myself out of bed and fixed eggs for breakfast I wondered what I would do today? Almost instantly an idea about 301 popped into my head. I immediately went into my office and turned the computer on. I wanted to find out as much information as I could while it was fresh on my mind. I thought to myself maybe rainy days aren’t so bad after all…

I just got back from an incredible trip. There were 16 of us on a bus to Las Vegas for the weekend. Of course the cooler was filled with refreshments and about 2 hours on the road, we all started singing and having a great time. Later the conversation turned to various subjects. One of particular note was about 301 . If I had my notebook with me I could have written a book while listening to the comments. Then when in Las Vegas, we all lost money. We returned home on a silent bus!

There are so many things that interest me, that it is tempting to research and start on new projects and websites such as honey baked ham sandwich nutrition.

I was checking out the latest posts at Boing Boing and saw one about extreme Lego structures. I am just amazed at how creative some people are. And how much time they have on their hands. One guy built a working air conditioning unit with working parts out of Legos! You’ve got to wonder how they got the idea for golf vacations for seniors, built up the plans on what blocks to use where, and then built it. And worked out the kinks of course. Amazing. My favorite though has to be the Lego structure of Han Solo in a block of carbonite.

How could ABC cancel ALIAS? What were they thinking? Just the best spy show ever on TV and they kill it. Then they have nerve to jerk the final episodes around and cut off about 5 shows that were supposed to be done this season. Grrr! Just how in the world are they supposed

Lasik Eye Surgery

Today, I am determined to clean up my place of business. Going through lots of boxes of stuff, I keep slowing down to go to the computer and research lasik eye surgery when I am supposed to be cleaning up and getting some junk out of the way. I am doing well though, getting a lot done. Of course, I have to figure out what I am going to do with all the stuff I find. But, this has been going on for years now. I guess we all have the same problem. Stuff just builds up and gets in the way. That’s life!
